Deeply respecting the diversity of individuals, I draw on various evidence-based techniques in my sessions to cater to the unique needs of my clients. In using any of these approaches I always work from a client centred and collaborative lens. Simply put, we will discover your strengths, areas of growth and work on gaining a deeper understanding of your experiences together. I aim to help clients find peace with the past, joy in the present and hope for the future.

At times it can be hard to put into words what you feel and to know where to start. My role as your therapist will be to meet you at your pace and to create an environment where you feel safe to freely speak about your deepest thoughts, goals, hopes, fears and traumas. 


Therapy is not a quick fix, and the healing process will require your investment and participation. Sometimes you may feel stuck. Through a gentle and collaborative approach, I will guide you to discover your pathways for change and help you to achieve your goals. My aim will be to encourage you to keep moving forward and to offer you effective tools, strategies and techniques so that you can do so. For example, outside of therapy sessions, I may assign homework exercises and activities to reinforce learning and promote positive changes. These exercises are designed to facilitate continued growth and progress between sessions.


In my practice I place an emphasis on empathy, using proven strategies, uncovering innate strengths and deep rooted views, perspective shifting, cross-cultural awareness, encouragement, and the therapeutic relationship. For clients in couples counselling, I believe that effective communication is vital for a healthy relationship. We will work on developing practical communication skills to express your needs, listen actively, and resolve conflicts constructively. These skills will empower you to communicate more openly and authentically with your partner. I aim to foster empathy and understanding between partners by exploring each other's perspectives, feelings, and experiences. Through empathic listening and validation, I create a safe space for partners to express themselves authentically and without judgment.

I recognize that one size does not fit all. Understanding that we all have unique lives, personalities and goals, each session will be tailored to your unique needs. I will take into consideration your diverse background, life experience, access to resources, challenges and strengths when offering a therapy plan. As a second-generation immigrant, I am also mindful of the role cultural factors play in the lives of my clients.

I have experienced many hardships and loss in my own personal life which have influenced who I am today. These experiences have formed the immense empathy I have for others and the struggles that they are trying to overcome, and the strong therapeutic alliance I am able to build with my clients. I believe that with the right support, every person has the inner strength, ability, and resilience to heal and grow from emotional pain and I will be honored to be part of that journey with you!
